My ex wife bought thousands of dollars of furniture from the furniture barn. She has not lived in this house since 2010. I called and asked to be removed from the mailing list, and the rude woman I spoke with said it would be too difficult to do since this is part of a mass mailer. I asked her to please get it done as I do not need her mail coming here still. She replied just throw it away...... I just want off of the list. Bad customer service.
They sell 5 year warranties with their products and you get your money back if you don't use the warranty. If you've got dogs, then why not? So far I've not had any issues with anything I've bought here. They will deliver for about 80 bucks depending on what you're buying but from my personal experience, the 1) call night before and 2) flexibility and willingness of where to put your furniture makes the cost worth it. Honestly, I had a couch to go in the basement that I had no idea how to fit in but they worked some hocus pocus and got it through without damaging my house or the furniture. A definite recommend in this area! And remember, this is Delaware so it's tax free shopping!
Find a nice customer centric store, but please avoid this one.
As usual, you don't walk out of here without finding something you want. I have yet to fail to find something that I came looking for, and I've been here 3 times: a couch 4 years ago, bed earlier this year, and another couch just this past week. Sales people are not pushy and they're ready to get down to business when you make up your mind. This place is quite large, so plan to spend a good amount of time walking around and checking stuff out.
The salesman Eric was so friendly and very helpful with the furniture I needed. After researching the internet for the item I was looking for and going from store to store the Furniture Barn was the only store who had the item on display. All other stores wanted me to order it through a catalog without my see the item personally. I highly recommend this store.
