If someone playing Pokemon go urge every trainer to come out this park. The park in the towns surrounding it have a break spawn rate. If you are person that likes the jog and enjoys a waterfront that gives you a beautiful view. Please look no further than Battery Park.
Nice park, had security driving around in a golf cart before which was pretty nice when it was there. But it's a nice view and good atmosphere nonetheless.
It's a pretty nice park. It's on the river so it kinda feels like you're by the ocean but with more geese. Great for running! They have some really nice magnolias and other gorgeous trees in some parts. Would not recommend going at night. Reminds me of web state park or castle island near Boston, MA, except without the ocean and probably smaller. It also has a nice view of the bridge. I saw some people getting their engagement photos taken on the dock.
One of my favorite places to walk and take the kids. Big playground for younger children as well as older ones. Water view of the Delaware river. The New dock the city of New Castle refurbished is beautiful. Good place for picnics, exercising and just having fun with the kids!
There are paved walkways along the waterfront that would be accessible. There is a parking lot with a map of the park and easy access to the playground. The a lot of historical interest in the park and nearby town.
This is really a beautiful Park. My son really likes the playground and we had a lot of fun watching the geese on the beach. We did find public restrooms. Also there's a lot of Pokemon in the area.
